Legacy
Preserving Culture. Building Identity. Inspiring Tomorrow.
Zimbabwe’s story is rich, creative, and enduring, yet much of its heritage faces the risk of being forgotten.
Through the Legacy Pillar and led by Ms. Joanna Masiyiwa, Higherlife Foundation works to protect, modernise, and celebrate the nation’s cultural heritage, ensuring that museums, galleries, and heritage sites remain vibrant spaces of learning, pride, and inspiration.

Our Vision
Revitalising Cultural Institutions
Our Work
Cultural
Restoration
Across the country, we are working with the National Gallery of Zimbabwe (NGZ) and the National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe (NMMZ) to restore, equip, and modernise key heritage sites.
Empowering Cultural Leadership.
We strengthen institutional capacity through leadership and staff development, curatorial training, and digital transformation. By equipping professionals with modern skills in curation, conservation, and management, we are nurturing the next generation of cultural custodians.

Our interventions are designed to complement Zimbabwe’s national vision for cultural and creative industries by integrating cultural preservation into education and tourism policies, promoting cultural tourism as a driver of local economic growth, and reinforcing national identity and pride through shared narratives.
Culture thrives when people participate.
